Hello yuri1213

How impatient you must be... :>)

When you download and/or install any software, your processor is very busy to do these tasks. So it has little time to do anything else simultaneously.

The message... `servicepack` means your computer is downloading and installing new updates of your windows version from Microsoft.

If you do not want that to happen automatically, go to configuration screen, go to "update" and switch from "automatic" to "receiving notice of new software changes".

But common... just a couple of minutes... :>)

Hello yuri1213

That would indicate that something else is wrong also. 7 hours is ridiculous ! Even for an old computer.
Back to the drawing board : something must be very busy or very slow.

Have you checked the internet upload download speed ?
There are many programs that show you the actual processor activity.
During up/down loading and installing that activity can be high (near 100%).
Otherwise it can/should be at 40 or 50% only.
If it remains too high either there is somewhere a program loop or a virus keeping it busy.
Do you use a good anti-virus scanner? Have you recently checked your computer for virusses?
