Since you have been trying since 2004, there might be an issue that needs to be addressed. Time to make an appointment with your doctor and have both of you checked out... almost half the time it is a male factor. It is not unusual for it to take a year or so for couples without any fertility concerns to become pregnant, but it has been considerably longer in your situation.
It can be confusing when you have already had a child and been pregnant before, but sometimes what is known as secondary infertility occurs.

Have you been checked out for issues? How are your husband's sperm? How are you doing physiologically? Any problems with being overweight, irregular periods? Do you know if you're ovulating? Here's a good book for fertility awareness: Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health by Toni Weschler, it can provide you with lots of help and ideas.
Also, PCOS can keep women from getting pregnant-- usually you'd have symptoms though, like ovarian cysts, acne, being overweight, irregular periods... you can look at pcos.insulitelabs.com if you want to check that out. I find it to be a very informative website.
Good luck and hope to read that you've succeeded in getting pregnant sometime soon!
