I couldn't find the remote, so I manually tried to turn the fan up using the pull chain. It stopped running altogether. Now I can't get it to work with the remote or manually. I disconnected the power hoping it would reprogram but no luck. Now, neither the fan nor the light work.

Open it up at the ceiling, remove the receiver, wire the fan without it.
