I have some relatives that are looking forward to migrating to the U.S. They are refugees since 2000. They will get their passports within a year or less. So should they wait till they get their passports or is there some other way. Also should someone from our side file a petition which will take longer than usual or can they come here on a visit visa ? Thank you

Once they're accepted as asylees in one country, they are ineligible to seek asylum in another country. In order to migrate to US, they need to be qualified in either one of the following categories:

-Have family member(s) who is US citizen (parents, children, brother/sister only... no uncle or nephew, etc)
-Have US employer who is willing to sponsor visa for them.
-Want to invest $ 1m in US.
-Got picked from Diversity Visa or commonly known as green card lotto..

Entering US as tourists is strongly not recommended.
