I have a 32 inch Toshiba Regza LCD, model 32HL67U that I bought last December. The problem I have had intermittently since the first week I have owned it is that when I am watching this TV, the screen will go black but the sound will keep playing. Toshiba customer service suggested that I unplug the TV for a minute or so then plug it back in to reset it. This works but it has not solved the problem permanently. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hello DCDiva
First of all you have to build up evidence that you had this problem from day one, and that you have contacted the Toshiba customer service several times already without any permanent result.
The problem may be caused by some hardware problem (lose contact) or some softeware problem (one of the processors in the display section stopping somehow - reason for the advice to reset).
You did not state how often this happens, but I assume that it happened more than once so far.
Put your problems on paper - including references to earlier contacts on this problem, and send them to Toshiba customer service in registered mail, with the request to either repair the problem permanently, or replace the unit.
If you don't, the guarantee will expire, and you have to pay for future possible repairs!!
Success !
