How do I change the bulb in the Hampton Bay model 54SHRL? It is a Windward II. We tried to remove the glass.. but it won't budge.

Is the question how do you remove the glass? If so, it unscrews.

The glass part itself unscrews, or the circular frame that might be holding it? I'm not having any luck getting either to turn.

A friend was able to remove the globe. But putting it back in.. It cracked.. I ordered a new globe from Home Depot. It took 3 calls to find a sales rep who knew which part we needed

I finally got the globe to unscrew. Took good finger friction and several tries and a lot of oomph. I'm going to oil the screw contact parts of the globe before replacing it.

Hi
I have a white Hampton Bay Windward II fan bought 4 years ago. I needed the globe replaced.
This is what I did:
Call Hampton Bay Customer Support: 1-800-841-1350.
Follow the menu to select Hampton Bay Products.
Tell them you need a globe
Model #54SHRL -White Windward II
UPC (for mine) 082392552961 on outside top of fan..
They transfer you to the "manufacture" who you can buy the globe from for $35.
Hope this helps!

I had a real hard time getting the glass to unscrew too... it just wouldn't budge. It was simple though, after I put on some rubber dish washing gloves. It's just hard to get a good grip on the glass.
