Does engine block sealer work to seal a blown head gasket or cracked head, and is it a permanent fix? The block in subject is a 2000 model 3400 series V6 from General Motors.

Personally, I would fix it properly and stay away from such products--they are not reliable solutions.

Like greasemonkey said, it mite be a quick fix but it won't last.
