Hey everyone,
My Fiancée started the nuva ring a month ago. She waited 7 days as the instructions said before we started having sex. We didn't use anything else at the time. She left it in and it never fell out or anything like that, and we had intercourse maybe around 5 or 6 times this month.
She's on the week now where she takes it out. Its getting very close to the point in the month where her period normally would be before she started nuva ring, give or take a couple of days.
She said she's felt some ''twinging'' inside, which she normally feels before a period starts, this was 2 days ago. But she hasn't gotten it yet. The twinging as she calls it stopped 2 days ago and she's felt normal since then. No cramps or soreness or anything, no period.
Were kind of wondering if she might be pregnant. Ive read that some women miss a period for the first while being on the nuva ring. Ive also theorized that because of the new hormones the ring introduces that her cycle might change its timing and her body is still adjusting.
Either way, were going to take a preggie test. We can't do so right now because she's out of town and won't be back for another 7 days.
Niether of us is overly scared if she is, as we are prepared to be parents should she be. My question is what are our chances if we followed the instructions to the letter on it?
Opinions?
Thanks everyone!
