Well, yes. But a judge shoud determine how much you can afford. Was not the child your responsibility ? If you are absolutely sure it is your child, and you can determine this through testing, then the two of you made it, and you are both responsible equally. So own up to the situation !

More importantly, what state are you in?

I draw industrial-disability income and it is considered towards the amount of child support the NCP pays. Many states do have a low income adjustment though as well as online child support calculators to allow parties to see an estimate/average of amount owed or to be received regarding CS. You could try googling a child support calculator for you state maybe and see? Dissomaster has a free trial too you can down and enter the figures to get an idea of how it all works

Yes, but if you have gone from employed to disabled you can apply to the Court for a reduction based on changed circumstances.
