Hi,

My friend was on the bench for most of 2005 and does not have a W2 since his employer did not pay salary or cut taxes for him. He has asked for an extenstion this year as he has not yet filed the taxes. I would like to know how the situation can be rectified. Will the IRS come after him? He is on a H1B visa and is working now.
Please advice

Thanks

If he earned money, he may have to file a tax return, even if there is no W-2. It depends on how much he made.
