Moved to insurance.
Medicaid will have specific guidelines for income. Have you considered a part time job? That will also help you buid up SS credits.

As for medicines, try this site: Free Medicine Program - Find Free Prescriptions through Patient Assistance Programs (http://www.freemedicineprogram.org/)
Medicaid is a different program with guidelines, as Fr_Chuch has indicated; do you know the guidelines in your state? You should know the guidelines because, otherwise, you can be fooled into not applying. I would encourage you to contact your state representative and your congressional representative and ask for more information. You may find more information on your own by typing "(Your state of residence) medicaid" in Google.

Congressional reps. Can look into these matters with SS but they can't change the regulations. However, they can make certain the right regulations are being used.
