First, I hope it isn't raining where you are.
Secondly, are you certain that it's off track and not an issue with the regulator or motor?
Either way, the door panel will need to be taken off to access the assembly.
What year, make and model are you driving?

What year, make and model are you driving? No it's not raining but I did just recently have my engine worked on. I now wonder if that has anything to do with that. Last Friday I came home from worked rolled my window up and it buzzed then I tried to roll it down and it only went half way then it rolled up again so I left it. The next day I rolled it down till about half way and it never rolled up again. I don't know what the problem is. I have a 1988 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe. AND IT IS KILLING ME FINACIALLY!!

There is no doubt the window issue is completely unrelated to the engine work.
That model was plagued with window regulator motor problems. The regulator motor becomes corroded or the internal contacts fail to complete the circuit and the motor just won't move.
Sometimes, repeated banging on the door panel, low and near the middle, while holding the switch in the UP position can eventually move the window up. Otherwise, just repeated attempts to raise the window sometimes works. You could even try tugging upward on the window glass while pressing the UP switch.
After that, I wouldn't use that window switch at all.
I hope this helps.
