It may sound bad, but you could be washing your face too much. I had acne (not too bad) in high school, and then I stopped washing my face every morning and every night, and it almost completely dissappeared.

Yeah, like Taxclass said, maybe you were over washing your face.
Over wash your face (especially with any skin cleaner) will only make your face more oily.
Eat a balance nutrition at your diets,
Drink a plenty of water (I don't mean coffee, tea, or any other canned drinks)
Rest well (about 7-8 hours)
Don't easily get stress
Don't touch your face unless you have washed your hand
Eat more food containing vit. B6
For this, I don't know the real one. Some said that we should reduce any fat intake if we don't want to suffer from acne... You can believe it or not, up to you then!!
Hope the best from you, good luck

It turns out that acne is mostly caused by your diet, here's one study that proves it...

Acne vulgaris: a disease of Western civilization. [Arch Dermatol. 2002] - PubMed Result (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12472346)

I used to have acne all over my face and body and here's what I did to almost completely eliminate my acne:

1. Stop drinking milk and stop consuming milk based products (like cheese, pizza, cheeseburgers, etc.)

2. Limit refined carbohydrates like sugar, soda, white bread, etc.

3. Eat more whole grains and whole foods like whole wheat bread, fruits and veggies instead of fast foods.

And for added protection, I take an acne vitamin (http://www.clearskinsecret.com) that is designed for acne sufferers found here:

AcneRX - Naturally Clear Skin Without A Prescription! (http://www.clearskinsecret.com)

I still get the occasional pimple here and there, but it's a MAJOR improvement from what I used to have. Hope that helps.

I always had super skin until I turned 22. I was getting off the birth control shot and got hit with acne. It's not because of what you eat all the time. It could be your hormones... everyone has hormones and they could be completely out of whack (this is why some serious acne is treated with serious drugs).

I agree with everyone to do the following:
1. Don't over wash your face (your stripping your skin of "natural" and "healthy" oils);
2. Avoid touching your face, if you have hair in your face cut it or tie it back (spreading bacteria);
3. Drink plenty of water (it is said that it helps break up acids and hydrates your skin, rejuvenates blood cells, restores energy etc... so many benefits to drinking water)
4. Cut down on caffeine intake and smoking;
5. Eat well but eat healthy (high in nutrients and low in fat)... or eat for the heart (mcloven has that for you).
6. If you work out a lot make sure to bring a towel to keep your face dry and don't rub it... just dab it as you do with your wash towel;
7. You should wash your face with gentle wash in the morning, toner and moisturizer (non-oil based if you have oily skin (hypoallergenic/sensitive)) then at night use a gentle exfoliating wash and moisturizer... I found dabbing a bit of mud mask on the zits helped too;
8. DON'T POP THEM I KNOW IT'S TEMPTING!
9. Only mud mask it once a week... not good to do it too often.

What are you washing your face with? What have you tried? Cytephil works not sure if you tried it (or if that is spelled correctly).
