After completing a total renovation of our upstairs bathroom, we have significantly lower hot water pressure & lower hot water temperature from shower head, than before renovation.
Please help us solve this mystery.
Thanks!!

Hi Nick,
I need more details. Name and type of shower valve you replaced? Age of house and what kind of pipes were originally installed? Copper? PVC? Galvanized iron? Do you flush your water heater on a regular monthly maintenance schedule? Any problems elsewhere? Answer my questions and I'll get back ASAP. Tom

Tom:
*New bathroom fixtures are all Kohler
*All copper piping throughout house
*Oil fired boiler - no separate hot water heater
*Pressure & temperature of hot water in bathroon sink is fine
Thanks for your speedy reply.

First, remove the shower head. If you see a rubber washer with holes around the edge pry it out and toss it. This is a water saver and cuts down on pressure and volume. Next I'll need the model number/name of the valve so I can instruct you on clearing the hot water inlet ports. Waiting to hear from you, Regards, tom
