Dear Ask Me Friends,

I am having trouble connecting to my wireless internet at home. Our other home computer is working on it, so I know it's not the router, etc.

I definitely know it is my laptop- I am able to connect to the wireless at Panera Bread as well as at a friend's house, but at other places, including our home wireless, I am not... here's the situation:

My little wireless icon in the right hand corner says that I'm connected to our wireless network, but when I go to internet explorer, netscape, or Firefox, they all say that webpage can't be found despite putting in multiple addresses...

Can anyone help me? I would be greatly appreciative!

You may want to post the brand & model of your laptop, your laptop's wireless card, and your router at home, plus version of Windows. Also, are you using WEP or WPA?

Check your home PC first. IP is manually configure or Automatically configure by DHCP from your router?

If manually , type the IP manually in your Laptop.

If automatically , check your router and to assign more DHCP users.

Also check your wireless security in your router. Sometime filter the wireless connection by MAC address and sometime by WEP or WPA KEY.
