Can't specifically address Alberta but in "most" cases, pay it.

Getting it off your credit report is another issue.

Thanks for the response
It's not on any recredit report , It's a rather old judgement , coming on 10 years,
The law Firm that delt with the case can no longer find the case number , due to a switch in from paper to computer , and there coding changed, they did not seem very interested in helping me . Each time I called them referring to the case.
I did read on the court of Qeeens Bench that there's a statue of limations of 10 years with out a renewal , if a renewal happens then I should get paper work detailing the above .
But it almost seems like it a catch 22 .

If they don't renew it it's gone forever - and it doesn't sound like the can renew it if they don't have the case/index number.

This could work in your favor -

Have you gone to Court and searched the records by hand? Some Court Clerks will allow you to look at the records, others will not. Everything in the US is referenced by case/index number, Plaintiff AND Defendant so there are 3 records.

I have gone down to the cagary court house , but was told that my case would be held in edmonton , a that is a three hour drive from here .
I can file a form for them to find it for a fee , you have to have key information for them to process it , while I have most. I would like to see what happen's in later in the year.
Thank you for the information you have given me , I hope it will be help full for me.
If they do choose to renew it then I should have more paper work on and I can procced further with it.
