I am working in the community with at-risk youth and a facility has become available at no cost. Also, the availability of used furniture, clothing, etc is there at no cost. The owner of the property has compassion for our youth of today and has asked me to start a Youth Entrepreneur Program with the residents of his complex. I agreed. Where do we start? I have an idea but I wanted to see if I am on the same page as those who are experts. Thanks for any response I get.:)

If you can find an existing non profit charity to work with you, sponsor you, it will be a lot easier.

But you form a non profit corporation, and file with the IRS for a tax exempt status. You would need to provide liability insurance at a min and set up an accounting system.

Who is going to work it, were are you going to get more and more used items, who is gong out looking for items, who is going to haul it, how is these people going to be paid , if they are.
