]My husband is soon to be released from prison in Oregon and we want to relocate to another state. I am assuming that the terms of probation for any given offense vary from state to state. How do I find what the terms are? Would the rules set forth in OR follow to everywhere else?

I believe he has to be released, assigned a probation officer, and THEN he can APPLY to have his probation transferred. It's not a given that he'd be granted permission to move.
I think each probation is determined individually based on what his offense was, how long he served, etc. I don't know that the exact terms will be known until he meets with his probation officer.

Yes, he will be paroled into the state he is in prison at ( unless this is federal prison) he will then have to apply for a transfer, ( can take several months) He will be under the rules first of the state he is on probation from. He will always have those rules, But the rules will depend on his specific probation, the probatoin board will give him his rules.
