This has been keeping me awake for an extra hour or so every night, a fairly new problem that has been occurring every night for a few weeks.

When I try to go to sleep, I close my eyes, and then they start to hurt.
Do you know the feeling your eyes get when you look too far in one direction, so the back of your eyes start to hurt from straining them?
It feels like that. I'll be positive I'm looking naturally straight ahead, but they keep hurting.

It's been starting to happen during the day too, but only when I think about it
If I remember my problem, my eyes immediately hurt, and it feels like a pressure around them and the front of my head.

It's like a headache that fell over and landed on my eyes!

What could this be cause by?
How can I fix it?

It could be caused by stress, neon lighting, and/or lack of sleep.

Have you had your eyes checked?

Ohh, well that would make sense!
Thank you.
