Hi,
I am 35 yrs old. I weigh 205 and am 5'2. I have never been this big! My husband is a great in house chef and his cooking is irresistible. I have lost the discipline to say no. I am considering gastric bypass surgery. Should I proceed before we conceive? (If we hadn't already) or wait until after I have the baby? Thank you.

Absolutely after you have the baby. The reason is that you will not necessarily be able to get enough nutrients to have a healthy baby unless you want to wait a few years after the surgery.

Hello, I had GBS almost 9 yrs ago and I was 5'9 and weighed 319. I have not only lost all my weight but have kept it OFF for the last ( almost ) 9 years. It has not been easy nor will it ever be but rememer the one thing that has always stuck with me through out this process is use the surgery as a tool. You will be getting a tool and it's very important that you don't forget it. It was the best thing I've ever done in my LIFE! DO IT...
