*30 pieces are green
*50 pieces are yellow
*45 pieces are white

The machine randomly distributed each piece of bubble gum that is purchaced.

A. If one piece of bubble gum is purchaced, what is the probability it will be blue? Explain how you know your answer is correct.

B. If two pieces of bubble gum are purchaced and the first place is green, what is the probabilty the socond piece will be white? Show all work and explain.

C. If two pieces of bubble gum are purchased, what is the probability that both will be yellow? Show all work and explain.

A. I think the answer is
40/200 since there are 40 blue & 200 all together
That reduces into 1/5

B. I think that the answer would be 2/200 since there is 2 pieces beimg chosen and 200 all together
That reduces into 1/100?

C. I think that the probabilty of them both being yellow is 50/200

Rethink b and c.

A little help for b- think about what the question is asking

A little help for c- you are pulling a yellow AND then another yellow

Ok

B. If two pieces of bubble gum are purchaced and the first place is green, what is the probabilty the socond piece will be white? Show all work and explain.

*30 pieces are green
*45 pieces are white

The probability of the second one being white is
45/170

Because since the green was already chosen, I took away 30 from 200
& there is 45 pieces of white.

C. If two pieces of bubble gum are purchased, what is the probability that both will be yellow? Show all work and explain.

*50 pieces are yellow
I think that since they are 2 yellows being chosen and there are 50 of them all together would that be either 2/50 or umm 25/200?
