Take a look here Autarky 100% natural dog food for active dogs. (http://www.csjk9.com/feed/autarky.html)
The BEST choice is an ALL Natural Food, it is important that the "protein" is from named meat, not vegetable protein.
No matter what food you choose read the label. Go to The Healthiest Pet Foods in the World – Natural & Organic Pet Food – Natura Pet Products (http://www.naturapet.com) for a pet food ingredient list to check them out.

I gave the Natura link ONLY to check out the ingredient list.

That is why the site for Autarky dog food is available in Ireland through CSJ's website. Go to this page CSJ Stockists in Scotland, Isle of Man & Northern Ireland.
I appreciate your comments, but the fact is no matter where you live you need to read labels!

PS.Here's another Natural dog food from Land of Holistic Pets (http://www.landofholisticpets.co.uk/)

There is a lot more evidence that dogs do just fine on so called low quality chows than that they do better on suposably better chows. Most of it is marketing hype by those selling more expensive chows.

Very likely your dog will do as well on any readily available common brands as on anything else.
