Hello, I will be attending college in less then a year, and I have always been interested in studying english. I was wondering what possible careers(other then teaching, even though I'm highly interest in it) that I could possibly get with an english degree. I would just like to keep my options open. (:
Any answers will be greatly appreciated.:D

Are you planning on going on after you get your bachelors - some of the answer depends on your level of education -

I was an English major. It is not the most practical choice, but it kept me interested in school and as a result I did well and got a degree. If you feel strongly that this is what you want to study then be sure to pick a minor or a concentration that is more practical. I minored in communications. At the time I wanted to go into either journalism or advertising.

With an English major you can be a teacher, go to law school, librarian, writer, copywriter...

After a short career in advertising (and several other things) I am now a successful event planner. The most important thing is that you get an education.
