I have an old TV I use to run exercise videos. The old VCR broke and I purchased a new one that has a connection marked coaxial. It does not, however, look quite the same as the coaxial cord hookup for the TV. There are no threads for screwing the cord on. Is there something else I need to purchase to play videos and dvd's on this TV? I do not need to receive anything else on the TV.

Sounds like the European Coaxial, Is this the only output on VCR.
Dollar Store down here sells Modulators that convert the red, white, and yellow(composite an audio)to channel 3 or 4, the output is the same style as your TV.
Or you need the coaxial adapter.
Try:
Wm. B. Allen Supply - Wholesale Distributor of Alarm, CCTV, Fire, Sound & Access Systems (http://www.wmballen.com)

Thank you. It is not the only output on the VCR. I just couldn't find anything that looked like an adaptor between the coaxial cord and the various outputs on the VCR. I looked at the modulators, but wasn't sure if I needed that since I don't need to receive outside shows on the TV.

The VCR/DVD combo is Magnavox from a WalMart store.

If you can't find the adapter, I will see if I can find.
The Modulator is best solution for a DVD/VCR that has No Coax Output, and TV only has Coax in. They work great. Will see If I can find one.
Edit: Here's a modulator, I wouldn't pay more that about $20. I got spoiled with the $12 Dollar Store RCA's. I would try Ebay
Back again, Is this the adaptor that you think you might need:
PACK 6 EUROVOX DREAMBOX STARVIEW COAX TO F ADAPTORS on eBay, also, Other Satellite Cable, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics (end time 21-Aug-08 20:00:00 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PACK-6--EUROVOX-DREAMBOX-STARVIEW-COAX-TO-F-ADAPTORS_W0QQitemZ190244429696QQcmdZViewItem?IMSfp =TL0808151322a30135)

Radio shack has a modulator for $10.

RadioShack.com (http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=rf%20modulator&origkw=rf%20modulator&sr=1)

Remember to check what cables are included.

Anybody think this is a VCR with a PAL rather than NTSC output?
