I had a miscarriage back in April, it was a complete miscarriage everything came out. I was given a pill to help stop the bleeding and since then had only 2 periods. My period will be 4 weeks late on Monday, August 18th, 2008. Never missed a period before in my life so I ended up taking 4 HPT (home pregnancy tests) and all of them came back negative. Has this happened to anyone else before? What was the result? People keep telling me to get a blood test but if a positive result showed up on a HPT before then why wouldn't it now? I've been trying to conceive again because the miscarriage was really hard on me and now I am really getting frustrated. Thanks.

You should definitely get a test done at the docs office to be sure and then you should explain you are having irregular cycles now. I had the same thing happen to me... they put me on hormones (and it DOES affect your emotional state) and Wa-la, my period was normal after that.
