I was using the Nuva Ring and had my period on July 20th/08. Then had my week off the ring and then I inserted another ring on July 26th/08. I removed the ring July31st/08. (yes i stopped mid cycle) I had sex before I removed the ring plus after it was out on the 31st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. I am pretty sure I was ovulating. Then on August 4th I had some spotting. It was brownish in color and then changed to a light pink. There was some red mixed with CM but not much. It was very light and not a normal flow. (Peropus withdrawal bleeding) Just was there when I went to the bathroom. Anyway that lasted for 4-5 days and then stopped. That would have been possibly 4 dpo. I was wondering if anyone had stopped birth control mid cycle and then got pregnant right away? I am not sure if what I experienced was Implantation spotting or withdrawal bleeding and if I am still due my period on August 16th? My boobs have been very sore, more sore then when AF is coming and my nipples are so sensitive. I have been extremely tired and moody. Plus I have had more frequent headaches. Not sure if those are all signs from stopping Nuva Ring mid cycle or not.

Could it maybe have been withdrawal bleeding and I can still possibly be pregnant even through it would would have been right around the time I had withdrawal bleeding. It could have been implantation but I doubt it. And would I still get my period on August 16th if I am not pregnant since I am no longer on birth control?

Its driving me nuts because I am not sure if the feelings I have right now are from coming off the ring or because I could be pregnant. Just want to know if it is possible.

How long have you been using nuvaring? Did you put it back in after sex? My gynecologist said that it's OK to do that, that you don't have to have it inserted during intercourse if its in the way and you're still protected, but if you just started using it for the first time then it's possible. Of course it's about 99% effective so either way it's possible.

I took it out after it being in for 5 days, and didn't put it back in. Still haven't. So it has been out for 2 weeks now. Just hoping that even though I had what may have been withdrawal bleeding that there was still a chance of coneption.

I'm pretty sure that if you're trying to conceive that takes a little while after you stop using nuvaring for that to happen. That's what my doctor told me, but then again some people get pregnant while using birth control. The best idea would be see your doctor to find out for sure.

Thank you for the response, yes it sometimes can take a while. With my first (who is almost 7) It happened my 2nd month of BC. I guess I was just hoping that it could still happen this soon, I feel very off but could still be because of the instant stopping of the ring. I have been searching the internet and I have heard of some women who continued to get withdrawal bleeding from BC since they didn't know they were pregnant and kept on taking it. So I thought, maybe even though I had withdrawal bleeding from stopping I could still end up pregnant.
Thanks for the help and advice!
