I am 6wks 7 days and started spotting yesterday. I went to the Dr. and they did a vaginal ultrasound the baby looked good and they saw the heartbeat roughly 132. Today I am having cramping and still bleeding. I am very upset and worried. I do go back on Mon for another ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing. Does anyone have any insight or advice?

I can only tell you what happened to me...
At 7 weeks pregnant I started cramping and spotting. First the spotting was brown (old blood) I called my dr. and they scheduled me for an ultrasound the next day just to make sure the baby was where she needed to be.
That night I started bleeding more and it was red. I totally freaked out. I called the dr. on call and was told that, basically, if I was losing the baby, there was nothing he could do. (Made me feel so much better... not!)
The next day, scared to death, I went in and saw that the baby was fine. The explanation I was given was that everything down there was swollen. More than likely during sex a vessel was broken - causing the bleeding. We apparently did not lubricate enough. We were then put on restriction until I was out of my first trimester, just as a safety precaution.
My daughter turns 8 next month.
