I am a 29yr old healthy woman. I have been in a serious relationship for the past two and a half years. Lately we, or I should say I, have been having problems in the bedroom. I have been having a serious problem when it comes to sex. I am only able to have sex for about 15 minutes. (ok this is embarrassing but here is goes) Meaning that I completely dry up. I love my boyfriend very much and love making love to him but this is becoming a real problem. He doesn't want to use lube and is taking this very personal. PLEASE help me!

Hi PJ75,

This is quite common, don't worry about it, lots of women use a lubricator... usually K gel or something similar. It doesn't mean that your not aroused by your boyfriend it's all to do with hormone levels, at certain times off the month.

It could be that you are lacking in a hormone or vitamin deficiency or even the contraceptive you are using... especially the pill.

I would go along to my GP, perhaps the fact that you feel uncomfortable about the issue, a female Doctor might be easier to talk to... being that she has the same bits, so to speak.

Your boyfriend will have to put up with this temporarily, it's no fun for you either, if he refuses to use a lub', then you will become extremely sore until you are unable to have any sort of contact, and I'm sure he doesn't want that.

As I've said go along and see your Doctor and I'm sure all will be fine very soon.

Takecare

I use KY ( my husband and I ). I don't see the big thing with the boyfriend because when I get dry it hurts my husband as much as it does me. Your doctor can do a hormone check on you to make certain everything is okay there. But it is just a fact as women age the don't get as wet as we used to. Don't worry though because there will come a time he can't perform as well as he does now. It's just right around the curb for him. But it by no means is your fault so hold your head up high and use ky. :D

Hey ! Don't worry. I know from painful experience that this can be caused by allergy pills,
Cold pills, or other drugs. Drink plenty of water ( Not alcohol that dehydrates) Oral really helps.
And as gina wisely pointed out lubricate!
