Im on unsupervised probation for 1st offense Dui in Nebraska. The default is 30 days in jail, what has to be done if anything to just get it over with and do my time? Meaning does my probation officer have any paperwork, a waiting period or can I just request to do my time?

You should have opted for this when you were before the Judge. Did you have an attorney or did you represent yourself or have a public defender?

You will have to appear before the judge and request a change in your sentence.
May I ask why you would want to spend a month in jail instead of being free?

"I realize that there are many questions pertaining to probation transfer, im not trying to waste your time... Im on probation for 1st offense DUI in Nebraska, my fiance's job just sent him to Arkansas Im wondering the procedure for this transfer. Im a stay at home mom and not required to have a job but I do have a place a live, all I have left to finish is 6 AA classes and a small portion of my fine Ive completed the rest of my conditons is this enough to be accepted for transfer?"

Well I asked before about transfers, and while my fiancé is in Arkansas at the moment we just found out he's being sent to Waco TX in about 2 months. He is a supervisor for a major construction company and can be sent to different jobs at a moments notice so a probation trasfer is not in my best interest. I just want to come home to him and though it sounds crazy to spend 30 days in jail when I can be free, Im not really free without my love. We've been together quite awhile and traveled the world together and I'm so sick without him so 30 days doesn't really seem that bad.

If you have someone to take care of your kids and you just want to get it over with so to speak, by all means contact the public defender you had and ask him if he can help you do this as soon as possible and have him present something to the Judge and have a hearing set down as soon as possible for you. Jail is not fun, but then it's over much quicker than probation.
