I am looking to get a condo but the condo (on second floor-only two floors) does not have w/d hookups. I was told it can be done (but I'm finding out for sure if it'll get approved by the board). Anyway, my question is does anyone have any idea of how much (estimate) it would be to install w/d hookups? I was told there would probably be some rewiring that needs to be done, etc. and there needs to be a vent (walls only, no vent through the roof). I just want a rough estimate. I was told around $4000-6000 and want to know it's that right.
Thanks

Estmates are based on the ability of the plumber to be on site and access the situation. We do not give estimates for that very reason. You will need a trap and stand pipe (see image) and a drain to connect to plus a vent out the roof or revented back into a dry vent. The hot and cold supplies will also have to be brought over and installed. In addition 110 for the washer and 220 for the dryer plus a dryer vent will have to go in. Since you will be piping through common areas the project will have to be approved by the Condo Association. Good Luck, Tom
