Ok, my husband and I have decided that we would like to have a baby. We feel like this is the next step in our relationship. We have had unprotected sex within the last week, this week I was ovulating. Since then I have had light crampin mood swings, and lower back pain... Not to mention headaches everyday. It is no where near my time to start, so I know it can't be that.
Any feedback is helpful, THX :)

If you were ovulating it can't be too far off from your time to start right?
Be safe, only take Acetaminophen for the headaches right now and test once you are late on your period! GOOD LUCK!!

I think I can do better than my previous answer actually...
Some couples are very fertile together and are lucky enough to get pregnant right away. You never know until you can test, so take precautions anyway. If you are trying to get pregnant it might be a good idea to be taking prenatal vitamins already (talk to your doctor first) and start curbing your habits towards what they'll be during pregnancy. It will make the adjustment all that much easier for you.
A little more than a week past ovulation and my boyfriend and I trying we went out fishing one evening on a lake. All was well, no troubles what so ever to that point. The waves were rather big on the lake, but no big deal. Once we brought the boat in and the motion stopped I felt so friggin sick. That is very unlike me, I'm a lake kind of girl, that doesn't normally bother me - but it had bothered others in the boat because they were 3-4 foot waves so I just kind of shrugged it off... after all - too soon for symptoms right?
It was an hour drive home and I was up in my seat, back in my seat, holding a bag, ready to pull over - oh my gosh, it was a horrible hour long drive but we made it without any vomit.
I still didn't test, I waited until 1 day past what would be a 28 day cycle. Pregnant!
In the meantime I weeded out Ibuprofen, which I normally take for aches and pains and switched myself to Acetaminophen. I made sure I was taking nothing that would be unsafe just in case. I'm really glad I did that - now no matter what I will have no question that I did everything I could to make this a good pregnancy.
I wish you the best of luck... sometimes period symptoms are VERY similar to pregnancy symptoms so try not to be too sad if your monthly comes!. If that happens to be the case give each other great big hugs and look forward to Ovulation time next month!
Also.. keep in mind, although there are so called 'norms' that happen to women when we get pregnant, it is not the same for anybody. For Example... some women even get their period through pregnancy which some docs claim cannot happen. Our bodies are the same - but very different.

Thx, that helps out. I won't be starting my period till around the 28th. I can't recall ever having symptoms like this this far before I start usually it just maybe one or two days before. That's why I was wondering. I just didn't know if it was to early to tell, or when the symptoms usually kick in!

A few months ago I had posted on here as well because I was convinced I was having pregnancy symptoms. Never before then had my boobs gotten as big and as sore as they did just because of my period.. I was SO convinced based on that. I did home tests, negative. I finally went in to the doctor, Negative - I was still confused and wondering. A few days later I got my period. Sometimes our monthly symptoms seem to be able to change on us too.
I think women get symptomatic at very different times. I have one girlfriend who was pregnant and was literally sick the entire pregnancy, another girlfriend who didn't have a shred of problems, no nausea, no discomfort and was unbelievably glowing and happy the entire time. It's different for all of us.

LOL, that's true... Thanks, this does help. However, I can't help but hope its pregnancy and NOT my cycle lol. However this month is the first month for us to be trying.

I still understand you hoping. It's okay to be hopeful, it's all part of the fun.. and it's even normal to be a bit sad if your monthly comes! : )
