My brother who's 30 years old has been living in the UK for the past 9 years. He has a great heart and is very hard working, but life doesn't seem to fair with him. He is now alone and trying to cope. The rest of the family is in Portugal and the USA.
He lives in Manchester and works 3 days a week in a restaurant. He is a great chef and very resourceful. Because of the summer there isn't much work. Can anyone help me. He is getting depressed and he is such a great guy. ANYONE PLEASE HELP. Be it with ideas, leads, contacts, etc.
Many thanks,
Carlota

What is your question? Are you trying to find a way to get him more work?

Yes, ideally I would like to help him to get more security. Financial and emotional.
DO you have any ideas?

Are you sure he really wants more security? Like every other good thing, to get security, some other good thing (freedom, say) usually has to be traded for it. Almost always, you can depend on people to make the tradeoffs that they're satisfied with, however foolish or shortsighted they may appear to you.

By security I mean financial security. We all need foundation. He has his bills to pay like any ordinary guy ,-)
Are you in Manchester?

Are you in Manchester?
No, I'm in the midwestern US.
