I had talked to the child support office in Texas about 6-9 months ago and they know I'm on disability. They said as long as I send in something each month that I would be left alone even if it's not the full amount. I was child support broke when I was working and couldn't afford a lawyer to get it settled. My child is now 20 and married with a child. I never was able to see her till she was 19 after she left home. Anyway I was just notified that my bank account had a lien put on it for a payment which of course caused me to have an over draft. It wasn't even my account but the one I had been watching over for my son that was in a coma for a week and rehab for a year but is now getting better. Any help in this matter would be appreciated as I not in a position to hire a lawyer. Why are they going back on their word?
It's only back support and if it were taken to court would be changed due to the inaccuracy of the amount.

Has anybody at SSI told you that you can get SSI payments for your kids as well?
You need to make the bank aware of your circumstances and that the one account is a minors account (very likely in trust) so most likely should not be touched. They can put a lien for child support though.
YOU most likely should go to the bank first and straighten the kids acct first, then SSI and get your kids added and then go to child support and request a re adjustment according to your current situation.
