Hello everyone, I'm new here and not even sure if I should ask this in this category, but I thought id give it a try anyway. I have read that monobenzone should not be used for freckles, id like to know why and if its really that bad can anyone tell me of any products that really do lighten freckles? Thanks for any suggestions :0)

Monobenzone is not fully understood yet, but there are bleaching creams that over a period of months will help fade freckles, however exposure to the sun can make them reappear.

You can buy lightening skin creams over the counter, but be sure and get some advice on these as there are several, some of which could cause skin damage if not used correctly.

Freckles are considered to be very attractive these days, people even come on these boards asking how they can get some... perhaps you should hang on to yours

Yeah. I saw a lady who wanted freckles to be permanently tattooed on to her cheeks using permanent make up because she thought it made her look cute. But then I guess it's a bit like the saying about wanting what you don't have.

I think they can look nice one most people, but I'm so fair and don't tan, I've tried some self tanning products as well, but it really looks bad on me. But thanks anyway!
