I have read a lot about tiling shower floors and the presloping that must be done. All the examples assume a center situated drain. My shower is the size of the bathtub that is removed (rectangle) and the drain is at the end, 1 ft from the wall. If I am presloping 1/4 in per ft of distance, one side of the floor will be much higher than the other due to the non-centered drain. It isn't an option at this point to move the drain location. What's the best way to proceed? Thanks for the help.

Hey Jerseygirl...

In this case if shower pan is 5 feet long that will give you a 1.25" pitch overall from end wall to front wall with drain... that is exactly what you want here... ;)

If you like.. you can reduce the overall pitch to 1 inch total in 5 feet... will barely be noticeable really.

Let me know what you think... but drain at end of shower is not so extraordinary... and proper pitch is needed... so sounds like you're all set here!

Are you sure you aren't interested in purchasing a PREFAB 5 foot molded shower floor??
