I just read this article and it really made me angry. Then it scared me. It's hard to come to terms that there are people like this in this world.

That is sick insanity and she should be forbidden from having her grand baby in her care ever again. So what she was sitting in the drivers seat holding her leg that doesn't mean she can't slip and be hanging upside down with the grandmother then hanging on for dear life. I can't imagine what would possess her to do such a thing to a three year old or any grand kid for that matter. Kids aren't even allowed to sit in the front seat any more so why should she get away with on the roof!
They get the riding on the roof from one of those TV shows I think Jack@$$.
A couple years ago some college kids were copying it and they ended up all three of them with a tree branch decapitating them.
If she wants her to have fun put her in the shopping cart and run it around the lot NOT a car roof. I hope they throw the book at her and she should never be allowed to have the kid unsupervised EVER again.

welcome to my neighborhood, 3 or 4 year olds let to run loose in the parking lot of the apartments with no supervision and/or maybe a 8 year old to supervise them. Their latest game hide by the trash dumpstser and run out as a car comes to make them slow down. But this shows the lack of value too many put on the life of a child and the little respect people have for safety

Can you image parents that let their teenage kids drink alcohol and their friends? Also, in denial about their kids smoking? Then allowing their 13 year old daughter roams the street whenever and don't know where she at? Sometimes never com home for weeks then let her disrepectful. My boyfriend brother and wife allow this.

I know right. My wife and I see this all the time at the apartment. We have a two year old daughter and the kids that live there are not much older but can be found running into the street and running around completely unattended. We won't let our daughter get more than a few feet from the front door and we are always watching her and if she goes further into the court yard then we follow. We don't let her even go close to the parking lot. She seems to know better though and stays close by when she waits for her puppy to go potty. Then one of the women that live there likes to haul through the parking lot knowing that the kids play out there. To make matter worse one of them is her very own daughter. It's ridiculous. When my wife and I are outside we try to keep an eye on them but it is not our responsibility. I can't believe people have absolutely no care or concern for their own children. It makes me want to drag these "parents" off the couch and tie them up in the parking lot and see how many times they almost get hit by a car like their children. It makes me so mad and I don't think I can do anything about it.

One little boy two streets over ran out in front of a car and the woman had to slam on her brakes. She told him show me where you live, drove him home. Told the mother that she should be watching a kid that wasn't even three feet tall to be running the streets. The mom flipped out on her that she has no business telling her how to raise her kids. Then too a lot of times the moms take it out on the kid when something does happen instead of realizing it happened because they were not watching the kid.

Yeah. I've seen that before. Don't count the fathers out too. They are just as much responsible if they don't take action either. It makes you wonder if something were to happen, would these people even care if they lost their children? It makes me sick to see this.

There are some of the kids around my apartment that have never met me or anything and they just walked right on in to my apartment as if they knew me for years. What if I had been a murder or something. I don't understand how parents can do that. If my daughter is not in my eye sight then I'm freaking out. But I'm also a paranoid person too

When my wife and I are outside with our daughter we try to keep an eye on the other kids. One time we saw a boy riding his bike on flat tires so my wife told me to air it up for him. I tried but then I ended up replacing the innertube for him. My heart goes out to those kids. It's just not right.
