Okay, so I have an ex girlfriend who is due in 2 weeks & claims the baby is mine... but she didn't tell me she was even pregnant until last night... I want NOTHING to do with this baby, so what can I do in order to get rid of all responsibilities?

You should have thought of that BEFORE you dropped your pants. Its too late now.

You can refuse to sign the birth certificate, and you can demand that a paternity test be taken before any support/custody orderes are issued.

But if a paternity tests shows you are the father then you WILL have to support the child.

All you can do is pray that you are not the father.

If you are, you are going to learn a valuable lesson of life, the hard way.

How long ago did you break up with her? Could it be yours? As soon as the baby is born, have a DNA test. If it is not yours, that will be the end of it.

If it is yours then you are responsible. It sucks that she waited so long to tell you and didn't give you a chance to adjust to the idea. However, unless you can work out a deal with her (and lawyers), if you are responsible for child support.

If the baby is yours, you will need to support it. You can, of course, always choose not to have anything to do with the child. She can't force you to visit or care about what's going on in your child's life. But you will not be able to get out of paying support.

Well if you don't want anything to do with the child then don't visit. You will still have to pay support though because it is yours you made the choice to have sex knowing there was a possiblitlty of a child. Sorry you didn't have more time to deal with it. All you can do now is not sign the afidavid at birth and have a court ordered DNA test done to make sure it is yours.
