My old therostat has two wires. I don't know where they hook up at in the hunter I bought the old wires are a red one and a white one I the old therostat is a robertshaw any help would be great

Are you using to control heat or cool? White is usually heat, blue or yellow MAY be for cool.

The themostat controls both but I have to switch it over at the firance

A couple of extra conductors from thermostat to Unit will keep you from going to the furnace, all can be controlled at thermostat.
