Myself and my ex have agreed that I will not pay child support but my son will have insurance from me and I will buy his school clothes every year. When we go to court will they put a mandatory child support payment on me?

I am not aware of any State where, if you go to Court, you aren't ordered to pay support. It can be ordered and your "ex" can never enforce the Order but it's by Statute in most States and insurance and school clothes are going to probably by way under the amount required to be paid.

What State?

When a state applies child support it's a guideline not an absolute. Having said that you can agree and so long as the best interests of the child are followed then a court may approve it. The point is MAY. You will need to pass it by a judge with explanations as to why it is what it is and the no coersion has taken place.
