Hello. I am new here and obviously an idiot. I am trying to change the battery in my Hampton Bay ceiling fan remote control and it is not working. The directions say something about making sure the remote code and the receiver code match exactly. What is the receiver and what in the heck do I do? I appreciate your help. Thank youl

Changing the frequency should be unrelated to changing the battery. What happens now that you have the new battery in?
