View Full Version : Bored Of Arguing About Religion?

Hello All!

I've noticed a large amount of discussions are revolving around arguing the pros and cons of Religion at the moment... not that that's a bad thing I'd like to point out... but I just thought I'd start a thread where people could talk (or argue :p ) about other things!

Anyway, I'll start it off...

It was my birthday on Saturday (I took some friends to see McFly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mcfly)! They were awesome!) and I also moved home with my girlfriend! We even managed to buy a fridge on eBay! :D

I did my first 'proper' bit of DIY, putting up some curtain-rails (twice... I got the measurements wrong the first time! ) and curtains! Woohoo!

We also enjoyed some simple pleasures, like relaxing with a coffee and some crusty bread and butter from a new bistro we found! Ha ha!

Next things to buy are... washing machine, sofa... and maybe a kitten? ;)

Anyway, how was everyone else's weekend? Good, bad or ugly, I want to hear it all!

J

Oh dear, seriously that bad?

You need to step away from the computer for a bit then! Ha ha!

What's the weather like where you are then? It's bloody awful here! Hammering down with rain!

Happy Belated Birthday IAM.

I really try to stay away from the religious discussions (but of course sometimes I can't) I argue more in the political discussions VOTE OBAMA!!

I had a great weekend!! Saturday I woke up at about 4:00am loaded up the car and hit the Jersey shore for some fishing and Crabbing. Fishing was pretty bad didn't really catch anything. I thought the day was ruined when it started to rain but it only lasted for an hour or so after that the crabbing was EXCELLENT. Caught about 4 dozen (blue claw) crab. Came home relaxed for a second or two to get cleaned up then went to my moms and cooked the crabs.

Saturday Night got home and I hit my second wind and watched boxing (I LOVE BOXING). Watched 4 fights that were pretty nasty. One guy got hit and I thought he broke his nose. When the DR wiped the blood away he had a HUGE gash in his forehead like it got split in two. I have never seen anything like that.

Sunday didn't do too much went out for breakfast then laid around with my fiancée. Played with our cats because we were so busy this week we really didn't have time to play with them and they were getting annoyed they like to bite our ankles just to say HELLO we need to have some fun too!!

Watched a little NASCAR I am not really a fan I just like to watch it on my 40" LCD and Surround sound. I like to turn the bass all the way up just so it shakes the whole place. That only lasts for a minute before my fiancée tells me to turn it down. And it really freaks out one of our cats, but the smaller cat loves it he even tries to catch the cars as they pass by on the screen But my cats aren't declawed so I had to put a stop to that before he scratched my screen.

So that was my weekend. You bought a fridge off Ebay!! How does that work I would Imagine shipping is a lot unless you were able to actually go and get the fridge yourself.

Wow, that sounds like an amazing weekend!

The sound of cat claws on LCD turns my stomach though! Ha ha!

Yeah, I used the cool little thing on eBay that filters the results so it only shows sellers that are close to you!

The fridge was only 5 miles away! I was chuffed to bits!

I only read them because I am the one of the experts, and the moderator, so I end up reading them and almost always deleting some posts or closing a thread that wonders off.

But it is always the same few people saying the same boring things.

Welcome to Life, Everyone has a right to their opion... With me a religon, I'm on the line between Atheist and Christian. At time I just don't know what to believe, But when I do go to service I do find myself quite relaxed

If anyone cares about my weekend, I was at Football camp until Saturday. I gave my body some much needed TLC and then we went to my aunts house to play her Wii (My mom loved it so much she bought one yesterday!) and Sunday I went to service and lounged around the house all day

Oh, I also found out that I'm "cut" from the team, but not really cut.. Basacilly I'm one of the 20 that wasn't up to par and instead of being on the field we just stay in the weight room and run around, While I'd rather be on the field being able to bench 170 would be nice ;D

Ohh, I also found out the Band that's my Avatar is is Playing in Late September on a weekend in Nashville! Good grades=equal concert
Good Grades all year=Tattoo! (Not this is not a stage/phase, I'm being quite mature about this decision. Idk if I've even going to be allowed a tat)

Another great sounding weekend!

I treated myself to a Wii not too long back and I've just got Mario Kart for it! 12 player online battles are the most insane thing ever! Ha ha!

I have a Wii I want the new Mario Kart But my fiancée said no we are getting Wii Fit so we got wii fit. It's pretty cool though. Very very disrespectful when you first get on it. It told my mom here Wii age is 78 and she is only 55. She was mad!!

Ha ha ha, that's awesome! My friend has Wii Fit, I enjoyed doing the hula and heading the footballs... but didn't get a chance to do the proper 'fitness' stuff!

I got Tiger Woods for it too, man that game is hard! It really winds me up! Ha ha!

So, is everyone looking forward to the weekend? It's nearly Friday! Woohoo!

Not really. Taking the mcat in one week.. so I've mostly been crying uncontrollably in awkward places.

My brother just had his birthday yesterday, so we had a good time, etc.

Not yet... I tried, but I don't have a Yahoo account (because they are bloody rubbishes!) and it doesn't seem to want to let me do it the other way! Oh well!

I've heard that shelter kittens eat people while they sleep though, so I'm a bit dubious! He he he!

As for freecycle do it you might just bag yourself a washing machine its amazing what people give away lol

I woke up in cold sweats the other morning imagining our (non-existant) kitten scratching chunks out of our brand new flat!

Eeeerrrrr that's going to happen no matter what you do, you could always go adopt a nice oldie that just wants to be loved and fed there a lot less naughty that's for sure.
Dink still does awfull things like tearing wall paper off the walls and ripping up the carpet bloody great no deposit back for us.

Good luck indeed ISneezeFunny!

CBW... back me up... A kitten is going to be a wonderful addition to our new place!

I definitely would like to rescue one rather than paying for one! My Mom actually suggested we wait until after christmas cause loads will be abandoned then! I said I didn't want to like a spoiled child! Haha!

I think we need a sofa before we need a pet!

So, what's the weather like in your part of the world people? It's raining here! Booooo to the British 'Summer'!
