I have lived or not lived, I guess you could say, for eight years with chronic headaches. They are there everyday. I have tried botox, acupuncture, massage, chiropractors and of course had every test in the book. My neurologists don't know what is wrong with me and I am going insane. I have been taking Vicodin for a year. Sometimes 6 a day sometimes 11. I don't feel like myself anymore. I was given two Fiorinal to try and it only made me dizzy. I have tried every preventitive migraine medication out there. I have tried Imitrex and all drugs like it. They don't relieve the pain for more than an hour or two. I know I shouldn't but I tried a friends oxycontin and that worked of course. I wanted to know if I should ask my doctor for this? I feel like a loser. Pain killers were not my first choice but seem to be the only choice. I took Fiorinal two hours ago and feel like crap and still have a headache. I have oxycontin and I just want to take it. Can I take it with Fiorinal in my system? I live in my room in the dark. I have three children and a husband who are totally neglected because of my daily pain. Please help. Oh and yes I am on hormone therapy as well. Thank you.

Join the club except it's not CDH. Just 35 years of them. Triggers are identified.

Find the trigger. If you want some help PM me. I'll try.

I can mix Fiorinal and Oxycontin. Not saying you can. Dose will matter and you cannot split oxycontin. Oxy is good for 12 hrs of relief, but it takes a while to kick in. That's when Fiorinal helps. Oxycontin causes repiratory depression in high doses and you develop a tolerance to opioids.

I also lived with chronic headaches and severe migraines for as long as I can remember. It was by a total fluke that I found out what the trigger was. Milk. Who would have thought that milk would cause such pain? I no longer drink milk and have reduced all dairy products and I have not had a headache of any kind for over a year. I don't know if you drink milk or not, but try not drinking any for awhile and see what happens. If that doesn't work try keeping a log of everything you eat and drink to see if food is a trigger for you. I hope this helps as I know exactly what you are going through. Good luck!
