Is there a way to make my cell ring longer? It only rings for 10-15 seconds and I'd like to increase the time but have searchd the phone endlessly for a way to change this to no avail. It's a Motorola KRAZR, the first model (I think, it only came in dark blue)... anything I can do, or get done to it to accomplish this?

Cell phone should ring for 30 seconds. (after that it goes to voicemail) that's the reason ringtones are 30 seconds long. Does it go to voicemail after 15 seconds? Or does it just go quiet? What ringtone are you using? A custom one?

Need more info. What carrier? What UI?

AT&T. I don't know what UI means. It goes to voicemail after about 15 seconds of ringing. It doesn't seem to matter what tone I use, a purchased one or a homemade one, or one that comes with the phone. Sometimes it rings even less than 15 sec.

Hmm...
Well UI is the user interface... I am assuming you have not changed yours.
Example: my phone had the verizon user interface and I hacked it and put the motorola user interface in so I can skin it.

Typical ring time is 30 seconds.

I would first go to HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource (http://www.howardforums.com)
Register (its free)
Then post this question in this section HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - AT&T Regular Phones (http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=289)

It's the AT&T section.. they are the best people on the net for all things cell phones.
See what they say...

If you don't want to do that... bring your phone to the store and tell them the problem.
Check also to see if they have a working model on display... call the working model with another working model and see how long it rings for. That way you can see if it's the same or different from yours.

15 seconds or less is crazy... that's not enough time to get it from your pocket and see who is calling!

Good luck.
