Hey!
Just want to ask about your own ways in memorizing "countless" terminologies especially when you're taking up nursing. Are there any medicines I can take in order to remember all the lessons?
(whoever is reading this right now) hope you can help me. :) it's just a bit frustrating because you studied all night but then you can't remember EVERYTHING you studied the next day. Thank you to all those who will respond. You're all appreciated :D

Studying all night is part of the problem.

You NEED to get 7-8 hours of good sleep each night for your brain
To be at its peak performance.

Get the proper amount of sleep, eat well, take a good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement, even one that contains memory enhancement or concentration enhancements included.

I have been in nursing for about 5 years. Many medications have similar side effects , etc. There is only the people who have photographic memory to learn medications in one night for an exam. That is why nursing programs teach medications in blocks to learn the basics. I forgot many details about some drugs but will not hesitate to pick up a drug guide. I also use feedback from patients and providers on what they experience when taking a certain prescribed medicine. Keep in mind that any undesired affect can be from a medicine combination cocktail.

Memory is either visual, verbal or Kinesthetic or a combination. You have to exploit the one(s) your wired for. People don't understand that.

Kinesthetic can be best described as how you learn to ride a bike or repetition.

Flash 3 x 5 cards work for Kinesthetic. That's how I got a 4.0 GPA. But it's VERY HARD.

Verbal can work, by say you have to learn definitions. Record the following. Word. Pause and defiition. Go to sleep with it playing.

Visual: My doc says that he has a photograhic mamory and can basically visualize the entire page when he studies in a certain way.

School is getting good grades and a piece of paper. No more. Learn what's required by you and do it. You can LEARN later. Work is pleasing your boss. Ethical or not. Right or wrong. It's pleasing your boss.
