Hi... hope someone can help me, I am a full time student.. I live off school grants and veteran disability benefit money. This is the first time I have not received any income for a whole year. And I don't know how to file my taxes without a w2. But I do know that it is nessesary to file my taxes to continue receiving my grant money for school. Please help.. Thanks

Put 0 instead of a wage.

Vaya makes a valid point.

Your total earned income would be $0, so that is the amount you put down.

You can electronically file for free (at least Federal). Go to www.irs.gov (http://www.irs.gov) and click the Free File link. This will take you to a list of sites that offer free filing for those with under $50K of income. When prompted for W2 info, just put none. I just did it with my daughter (also a student) last night. It took less than 30 minutes.
