I have a compression faucet not the cartridge type and I replaced the valve stem about 3 weeks ago because the hot water was dripping. Just the other day I used the hot water and it was fine then a little while later I used it and there was no pressure. Does anyone have any ideas on a compression faucet with no pressure?

Remove stem, place bowl over open stem port, turn on water a little to see if you have flow. If you have pressure inspect stem and washer. Make sure washer screw is tight. No flow, turn off water at stop valve, remove supply tube at stop valve, open valve to see if you have flow. If you have flow, remove supply tube at faucet, use small wire to poke around in faucet for obstruction both in stem port where supply tub connects. No flow out of stop valve, replace stop valve.
