My husband became disabled a year ago and we tried to work with the mortgage company to keep up payments till his disability checks came in. They wouldn't work with us so we chose to go chapter 13 bankruptcy all was going good until the trustee raised the payment plan up and then I lost my job. We can't afford a repayment plan nor to keep up the mortgage payments. We have chosen to walk away from the house letting it finish going into foreclosure. What are the consequences of abandonment of property in Florida.

Same as anyplace else - the lender can move against you for any monies they lose which is usually the difference between the amount you still owe and the amount they get on sale, minus expenses.

A few issues, as soon as you lost your job, that changed your income, thus you resubmit a new payment plan with lower payments based on the change in incomes. So that would or should have been day two after you lost a job.
And of course you can change your chapter 13 to a chapter 7 ( if you otherwise qualify for a 7) and discharge all of the debts without repayment
