Hi there. My boyfriend was diagnosed with a bladder infection about 6 weeks ago. We have been intimate during that time and everything was fine. This week he has been having a problem getting aroused (hard-on). Could he not begetting a hard-on because of the bladder infection? He is also a cyclist and the doctor told him its because of all the cycling that he got the bladder infection. Help.

He was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with UTI (otherwise known as bladder infection, cystitis) and he hasn't gotten better by now? Usually, these get cleared up right away.
Erectile dysfunction isn't really a common symptom of a UTI...
He also needs a new doctor if he was told that cycling got him the UTI... UTIs happen. The cycling may have aggravated the UTI... but him getting the infection FROM cycling? Unless he was cycling in the nude rubbing his urethra all over the seat... high doubt it.
His ED may be temporary, but if it persists, he may need to see a urologist to confirm that his first issue was actually, in fact, UTI and that he has no other problems.
