My sears tractor won't start. I was using it, then shut it off for lunch now it won't turn over. No clicking, nothing. Tried jumping and still nothing. Battery is good because the lights work fine. Could it be the solenoid or the starter?

No click no nothing... yes possibly the starter. If you know where it is, give it a light tap or two with a hammer then try again. If it starts after that, then it probably is a starter going bad.
... just a trick I've learned... I'm no expert :o
Stay tuned. No doubt one of the real experts will pipe in too :)

WELL~~ here's the thing~ it's like, did you plug it in!! My wife was using the tractor and didn't turn off the electric mower engage switch before she turned off the tractor. Darn thing doesn't start unless you do!
It's OK to call me an idiot
