I live in an apartment, and just recently(last 3 weeks or so) the cold water pressure for my bathtub/shower has been slowly dropping off until yesterday when there was NO water from the cold tap at all. Then I noticed this morning when brushing my teeth, that the cold water tap on the bathroom sink is pouring HOT... same with the kitchen sink. I'm not sure about the toilet, but I'm not willing to stick my hand in and test that out... :)

Anyone have an idea as to why this is..

What's the brand name of your tub valve? How old is it? Sounds like there's a crossconnection in the valve some where. Pull the handle and chrome cover plate. Shut the water off to the valve using the screwdriver stops located on the valve inlets. Now, with the water off to tub run the cold water in your lavatory for a few minutes. Is it starting to run cold now? Let me know, tom

You don't have to stick your hand in the toilet, just lift the lid on the tank or feel the sides of the tank to see if you are getting hot in the toilet. In any case, its not your issue to repair and any attempt on your part could be a problem for the landlord or management company. Call them and describe your problem. Try closing the stops for the hot water under the sink to see if you really are getting hot out of the cold line. It could be that your cold supplies are blocked and there is always some hot water coming through a single handle mixer. Definitely call the LL.
